Editvoicepack errors

Postby Majick » Wed Dec 14, 2011 4:01 pm

I installed Editvoicepack and before running the update I made sure to check there was an option to restore previous.

When I ran FSX I decided to restore the previous voicepack because the modifications had not given me what I wanted.

Then when I tried to run Editvoice pack to do so I got this error:

'The output char buffer is too small to contain the decoded characters, encoding 'Unicode' fallback 'System.Text.DecoderReplacementFallback'.'

So now I have messed up my voicepack file I can't even run Editvoicepack to correct it. Why has this happened?

As for the process of restoring from the game disks my machine has been trying to read the CAB for an hour now, so how does that work?

The extract from the CAB eventually finished and the speech is restored. Do you have any idea what could cause that error in Editvoicepack?

No. I do not know why the file gets corrupted.
