Index out of Range

Postby Mouldy » Sat Feb 25, 2012 3:21 pm

Hi, I have just downloaded and installed Editvoicepack 4, and followed the instructions but when I run it and click on the update button, after building the wav files I get the error message "Index was out of range. Must be non-negative and less than the size of the collection.
Parameter name: index"

The full clipboard message is - Updating the voicepack failed
at Bevelstone.EditVoicepack.ThirdPartyInstaller.Installer.UpdateVoicepackSynchronous() in D:\Documents\Bevelstone\Flight Simulator\EditVoicepack\DataModel\ThirdPartyInstaller\Installer.cs:line 94
at Bevelstone.EditVoicepack.UpdateProcess.HiddenForm.WorkerThread(Object state) in D:\Documents\Bevelstone\Flight Simulator\EditVoicepack\UpdateProcess\HiddenForm.cs:line 134

Index was out of range. Must be non-negative and less than the size of the collection.
Parameter name: index
at System.ThrowHelper.ThrowArgumentOutOfRangeException()
at System.Collections.Generic.List`1.set_Item(Int32 index, T value)

at Bevelstone.EditVoicepack.ThirdPartyInstaller.Installer.ThreadFunction() in D:\Documents\Bevelstone\Flight Simulator\EditVoicepack\DataModel\ThirdPartyInstaller\Installer.cs:line 180

Any idea what this could be? I have tried uninstalling and re-installing several times but the same thing happens every time. :?

Thanks for any advice.

Dave

Did you try restoring the GVP file as mentioned here?
http://www.fsonline.dk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1081

Have you imported any voicepack modifications, or did you try creating your own?

What are the instructions you are following? Is it these:
http://www.fsonline.dk/en/index.php?tit ... first_time
or are you referring to instructions like for example these:
http://www.fsonline.dk/en/index.php?tit ... oicepack_X

Hi Lars, yes I restored the GVP as per the guidance. I had not tried to create my own mods but I had tried to import some but to no avail, I kept getting the same error, so I uninstalled EVP4 & re-installed it as per the instructions in the first link option that you mention, I get the error during step 3, updating.

Try deleting the folder
C:\ProgramData\EditVoicepackX

Then try updating the voicepack. If it works, you can try importing modifications again, maybe one of them introduces the problem.
